Hanppy Kimchi is inherited for seven generations from the Mom's taste

Traditional kimchi has a history of more than 3,000 years from China, according to record of XuZhen’s  “ShuoWen JieZi” in Han Dynasty, then was spread to both North and South Korea, and deeply became the most comment dish among the people. 

Kimchi begins from Dawan village, Jiangbei Town, Chongqing City (now Yubei District, Chongqing City). Famous General Xue Rengui of the Tang Dynasty was exiled to Gaoli Country (now Korea) by the government. In Gaoli, many of his entourages were from Jiangbei, Chongqing, who knew how to marinate kimchi in their hometown, Chongqing kimchi entered Korea from then on. Hanppy’s ancestors served in this army as one of his entourages. After several wars in Korea years and years, this kind of dish became popular among Korean civilians. 

The main process of kimchi is through lactic acid fermentation with special ingredients, which is never found in other parts of the world. The ingredient called “Capsaisin” can prevent the rancidity of kimchi and keep it delicious. 

Originally, Hanppy was just a small family workshop that mainly marinated and sold Korean kimchi. The original marinades of kimchi has been inherited for seven generations, now It is passed on from mom to daughter, and will be kept on continence. So, it is known as the true traditional Korean kimchi as “family pickled by mother’s love”. 

Through generations of inheritance in craftsmanship, the refinement of marinating technique, the development of cooking and culinary skills, it has become a well-known consumer top of kimchi production and sales. The longer the years, the stronger the taste, so that the excellent taste of Hanppy kimchi is called “Mom’s taste” by customers. . . .

Hanppy Signature BBQ Meat—Deliciousness from Dad’s Dream

BBQ Pork is a signature meal with the most distinctive and most enduring core in Hanppy restaurant. Traditional Korean BBQ meat is mostly based on beef or pork with particular sauce. Absolutely, it is always no doubt that beef is tasted like beef, pork is tasted like pork. However, Hanppy’s BBQ meat is beef-flavored pork, which tasty likes beef but actually marinated from pork. This is so unique and unforgettable taste that fascinates customers as the most favorite. 

The secret of such amazing taste is based on the unique sauce recipe and the process of sauce making. Hanppy’s BBQ sauce contains more than 13 selected seasoning ingredients or spices, which are strictly prepared on formula ratio. For every 30 LBs of sliced pork, repeatedly knead and stir for 30 minutes like massage with 4 liters of created sauce, mix all ingredients very well within sliced pork, then load into containers to store in refrigeration for at least 24 hours, so that the sauce completely penetrates the meat and keeps it tender. 

There is a magically true story about the recipe of Hanppy’s BBQ sauce. In the initial stage of preparing BBQ sauce, the ratio of the recipe has been repeatedly and carefully adjusted from none till it basically meets the expected taste of freshness and sweetness, but the dad still strives hard for perfection of taste experience, which can be felt like “the exquisite aftertaste around the beam”. The issue has been troubled Dad for more than two weeks, when every day he thinks how to fix it under restless and sleepless. One day he was too sleepy to fell asleep slowly, suddenly an old white-haired man came to him and gave him a tiny bottle containing some brown powder, and told him the name of the special powder, and instructed him to mix it into the existing sauce with 10 grams every time, which must have a significant and miraculous taste for purpose. Dad woke up from surprise and overjoyed. On next day, followed magic instruction to add this kind of powder into the sauce, and it worked unique and outstanding!

Hannpy’s BBQ sauce and signature sauce-flavored meat eaten into soul was finally born magically and successfully from Dad’s dream, and is creating the most delicious meal for Hanppy’s customers till now!
